Have we turned a corner?
Have we turned a corner? Have posted this on 2 forums as had lots of support from different people in both places.
I almost don’t want to post this and tempt fate but I think we have turned a massive corner. As I type my other half is at the Docs again, success no.1. We also managed a calm and serious talk about his behaviour and he has promised to a) get help therefore docs and b) make more effort to get a job and keep me informed so I don’t have to ask him (which comes across as nagging apparently!).
He has at last admitted that he is worried about returning to work and I suggested part time in a job he is comfortable in and getting support from the GP with this, maybe counciling.
He was shocked to see our financial state on paper even though I had told him several times and he applied for 4 jobs today. I can’t ask him to do more. I have told him if he doesn’t keep up this momentum re jobs and getting support I will ‘nag’ until he is sorted.
So for the time being I am giving him a last chance and staying put for now, It’s been a sad wk for me. I feel emotionally and phyically drained, but I know it would have been a lot worse without all your support so thankyou and I will keep intouch.
Good luck to all of you out there in a similar position. It shouldn’t happen, but it does and we have to deal with it, together.

It will be better around the corner That is so much better - thankfully some good has come out of it. Sometimes they just need a kick up the you know where.
Fingers crossed cos you need to focus on getting better and nothing else at all should be worrying you.

for eileen 765 Hi Eileen,I’ve finally managed to post basically I was being stupid clicking on the arrow not the words.How are you now?I got those drops and my eyes are lots better.I still get a bit breathless and can only walk a few yards but it is slowly improving.I started rads last week it was a struggle at first and had to use a wheelchair to get down the corridor! Its better now and the treatment is great compared to chemo.Have you started rads yet?Let me know how u r you were so helpful to me when things were bad.lol horace[Val]
