Hi Cecelia
I have had a lot of headaches lately - am on AC chemo. Trying not to let my mind go overboard as they go away easily with paracetemol/brufen!!
Take care

Hiya Cecelia
I had headaches after each Tax, kicked in about 10 days after and were more like sinus headaches - above the eyes, dry nose aswell.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi Anne
That has cheered me up no end! this is 13 days after so that’s about right.
Thanks

I have had terrible headaches with FEC… yet another one of those lovely side affects that noone tells you about!
Hope they disappear soon.
It wasn’t the FEC that gave me the headaches but it was the Ondansetron they gave me for the sickness. The headache lasted around a week and was more debilitating that the sichness. I had it changed and I have been fine since then.
Have a word with your consultant. The hiccups is my worse bit now.
Hi Topper
I’ll mention it, it’s been 3 days now and still have a headache.
Talking of hiccups, I have a weird “heaving” thing but not quite a heave, more like a hiccup/sob.
Weird!

Someone recommended Lucozade and that seems to have stopped the Hics. I had the hic sobs thing as well. I thought it might be a reflux thing, I mentioned it to the ONC nurse and I have been given another two weeks of Omeprazole which is what I have to counteract the Dexamethazone ( steroids) Four FEC down and one to go!!I’m feeling a bit ropey again and am going to put myself back to bed now!
Hi Topper
Thanks for the recommendation re. the reflux thing, it’s very weird!
Get yourself off to bed, well done, only 1 more to go!

I’ll join the headache club!!! Have had mine now for 4 weeks! Last week happened to have clinic appt as well so got shunted of for MRI scan immediately with almost instant results - and believe you me my mind was working overtime - especially when we were shown into the ‘quiet room’. I was convinced I was going to get bad news - especially as they had to get several opinions. But it’s ok - they think it is just a problem with my bones (have bone mets in skull as well as elsewhere). We can never escape the anxiety can we!
