Have been reading through many threads regarding preventing recurrences through healthy eating, drinking etc such a serious topic with many very interesting studies and comments as I very rarely drink,I
thought I would give healthy eating a try, had omega rich bean thing, salad etc for tea with walnut bread, pretty tasty but being really honest after finishing I was starving so ate a bacon cheese and tomato sandwich, so much for my stab at healthy eating, I will try to persevere! xx
lmao… love it!!!
LOL well done for trying!!!
Maybe try this then:
Inner Peace
I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me, & we all could probably use more calm in our lives!
Some doctor on Anglia Television said that the way to achieve “inner peace” is to finish all the things you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I’d started & hadn’t finished &, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of shhhardonay, a bodle of Baileys, abutle of vocka, a pockage of Pringlies, tha mainder of a botl Prozic and Valumscriptins, the res of the Chesescke an a box a chocolets. Yu haf no idr who gud I fel.
Peas sen dis orn to anyy yu fee ar in ned ov inr pece.

OOPS, I’m trying to humiliate myself two times!!!
katytc and geewhiz thank you both - you started my day with a laugh out loud- loved the posts!!!
geewhiz --what a wonderful way to start the day–with a belly laugh!! realy cheered me up.
must say i was still feeling for the ladies on the alcoholics thread. They cannot have wine for the rest of their life, surely i could give my liver a rest for one night? And so, last night nobody was home to tempt me and i decided not to have any wine. Did not sleep as well as normal, could be a concidence, and this morning was 2lb heavier (alcohol is a diuretic isnt it–must be fluid)
i used to have a weight problem. I decided the answer was healthy shopping rather than healthy eating.so i am lucky there are no packets of biscuits, nuts crisps or sweets in the house. I cannot eat flour so no making sandwiches, or lovely slices of toast dripping with butter,so at least thats one temptation out of the way. Lumps of cheese are my sin, but i managed not to have that either most times.
band practice tonight. Do i really need to hit the bottle when i get in past midnight?? Ditto Friday wont get in from the gig till 2, surely i can get to sleep without a glass or two of wine–that will be three alcohol free nights. Get my liver good and strong for the hen do I am going to Saturday. First one I have ever been to. When i was young the men went to the pub the night before the wedding and the girls went round to the brides house–bit different from nowadays. the have promised me I will not be required to get involved with male strippers—shame!!
Geewhiz you made me roar this morning!
Thanks for your lovely posting. It’s not often I start the day laughing out loud…
Brilliant spelling!!!
I feel you may be writing from experience???
Hope you really are ok wherever you are on this rollercoaster…

Hic - I LOVE IT.
and Katy I can relate to your method healthy eating too!
Brilliant…sounds like a plan…x
Thank you, was feeling pretty smug coming home with all my healthy products unfortunately that feeling didn’t last very long! Inner Peace that’s what I need. xx
KatyC - LOVE your “Healthy Eating” diet - do you think it would work just as well with chocolate as I don’t like jelly beans?
Julie - I think we should get the Inner Peace therapy on the NHS - that means everything for FREE as cancer club members!
Ha! That is so true. I’ve been doing the health eating thing - loads of veg, juices etc, even veggie cheese which was more like plastic than plastic (spit) and tofu - yeuk totally evil tasting stuff… then tonight, had some toast with sliced meat followed by chocolate filled doughnut, then the four choccie mcvities biscuits and chocolates I’d put into a container to put in the bin (why not straight in the bin I wonder…). Must be the steroids I say to myself as I tiptoe out of bed for a slice of cheesecake. Did I say I got three bags of doughnuts from tesco (jam, custard and chocolate - 3 for 2 deal). I feel sooo much better. Bella
Gee whizz! Think you should publish your healthy eating book, it would work for me!
I am sat in bed drinking decaf coffee (= effort) with two slices of rocky road (= fail!), for breakfast furthermore!
Surely that’s balanced overall! Ahem.
Take care all x
Ohh and way to go Emma!
