Hearing loss following rads ?

ladies, I finished rads to the left breast just over 4yrs ago. I have recently had a hearing test as i had noticed my hearing was not good. Left ear is quite bad, hospital didnt think that chemo would have affected only one ear. I have just been wondering if it was the rads as it is the same side. I didnt mention which side I had rads to the hearing doc. has anyone else had same sort of experience? wondered if it just a coincidence or too long ago to be connected? have seen from websites that side effects can be hearing probs from chemo/rads but not sure if this would apply to me. will have check up in Oct so will mention it to onc then too.

i have no knowledge about this, but it does seem to me that we get all sorts of illnesses and failures in our bodies, and we try to find a reason. so it is only natural to look at rads as the reason for this.

but all sorts of people get hearing loss on one side or the other,and it s only a 50% chance which side it happens on.

it would be nice to have an answer for everything but this might turn out to be just one of those things that happen.

come on, everybody with the same probem shoot me down
