Hi springer77,
Thanks for posting.
It’s understandable you have questions about the effect of possible treatment for breast cancer following your appointment at the breast clinic.
When your treatment team has all the information from the tests you’ve had, they will discuss your care in a multidisciplinary meeting. They will consider different factors when deciding on the best treatment for you including the specific features of your cancer such as the type, size, grade, and stage together with your age and your general health. They will consider any treatment you may be having under the cardiology team in relation to your arrhythmia and also your family history of cardiomyopathy.
Depending on the recommended treatment plan for your breast cancer, your treatment team may suggest additional tests such as an echocardiogram, but this will be decided by them… Do talk to them about your concerns as they are best placed to assess your situation and explain any possible implications of breast cancer treatment.
