heartbroken

Just wanted to share cos they say it helps…
heard today that my dad has a new lump in his throat, he had total larynx removal almost 2 years ago due to throat cancer, hes been through so much these last 2 years, as have the rest of family… and now its back…life really does suck!

Hi Charlotte
My heart really does go out to you - it all seems so cruel and you’re right, life really does suck sometimes

Sending you a cyber hug

xx

ps your children look adorable

Oh Charlotte, I am so sorry to hear your news about your Dad. You’re right, life sucks and is so cruel at times!

Sharing news does help - it can’t take away your Dad’s lump unfortunatley, but there’s a lot of luvly people on here who can be there for you and leave messages of support, and be a listening ear too.

Much love to you Charlotte, and a big hug too - we’re all here for you, and hopefully your Dad’s lump will be early stage and able to be treated easily and quickly.

Please let us know how he goes on, take good care of yourself, and post on here whenever you want…!

Luv, Shelley xxx

oh no. That is terrible news, for you and the whole family. Is there any chance it is a benign lump? Grasping at straws realy.

Dont know what i can say to make any difference except that you did the right thing to share

thank you

((Charlotte))

So sorry to hear about your dad. This disease sucks.

so sorry to hear that Charlotte, life really is s**t sometimes, sending ((((hugs)))) ur way x

hi i know what you are going through. my mum died in 2008 age 64. in october 2009 i was dx with bc age 40. in january 2011 my husband was dx with skin cancer, and now my best friend has been dx with bc age 43. life does suck but time is a healer. you and your family will get through the hard times. good luck with what ever comes your way xxx gaynor

Oh god :frowning: how horrible to be both going through cancer.

My Mum had bowel cancer for 3 years and died at 52, now 3 years later I get diagnosed at 34. The hardest people to tell was my stepdad who was only just coming out of a deep mourning for my Mum (felt so guilty to have to put him back on cancer radar, didn’t tell him until I got DX) and my best friend who I’ve known since we were 6.

xxxx

That’s horrible news, Charlotte. I wish you and your family the strength to get through the next few months when the cancer and treatment treadmill does its worst.

Hi there big hugs to you and your family xxx

Can’t say anything that will make things better, just hope that sharing helps a little. Sending lots of positive vibes your way and hoping that yo’ll get better news than your expecting - it’s a dreadful time for you all, you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers, Julie xx

My thoughts are with you and your family Charlotte. xx

Thank you all, It really does help to put the words down and share our feelings, even tho i have hubby abd kids, all you on here have become great at words of wisdom. Mum and Dad are back to hospital today for results, although as he was stage 3/4 last time, and has no voice box left, breathes through a hole in his neck and has a mostly liquid diet as his food tube is made up with a vein from his arm…cant see how results can be good!

thinking of you today, whilst you wait to hear the result. What a rotten time.

OK so here I am having to say sorry for wasting all your time…
My dads lump was apparently a fungal growth, the consultant couldnt explain but was sorry to have scared but said he was so sure it was a cancer lump when he was doing the biopsy. SO a big Thank you all for the lovely words of support, isnt it great to know that it turns out ok sometimes!!

So sorry to hear that Charlotte :frowning:
sending love your way

Mekala x
