OOps, sorry about above. Can’t get used to this format.
Anyway, just to add, I have been prescribed Lansoprazole, and didn’t seem to work until I started taking it two days before chemo, then it was brilliant. Carried on until day 10 at least.
Cheers

Ladies,

do you take 1 or 2 Omeprazole? My doc said 1 or 2 is fine but on the label on the front it says 1 dailyas required so not sure really. They are 10mg by the way,

Cheers,

Hi Kelly,

I think I am right in saying that 2 (20mg) will be perfectly safe dose. I was given these to take with diclofenac (for pain control/inflamation) to protect my stomach and was give 30mg tabs - 1 per day.

I take Omeprazole regularly anyway, normally 1 a day but had to take 2 today as I was in such a lot of pain (chemo was on Tuesday). When I was first prescribed them I had to take 2 a day anyway so I don’t think there is a problem with that.

Hi Anne & Dawn,

thanks ever so much for your prompt replies, much appreciated. Knowing that it is perfectly safe to take 2 I think I’ll take 1 to start with but will be safe in the knowledge that I can take another if 1 doesn’t do the job,

Thanks again,

Take care,

Kelly

Hi all (especially Anne and Dawn)

Glad to see you are getting lots of feedback on the site, but we always advise forum members to consult their own clinical advisers (probably your GP or your breast care nurse) before you change your medication - individual circumstances do differ.

Best wishes
