Hi I am just three days out of RADS (x15)and have been feeling extremly breathless, ribs are sore and a pain in my collarbone. I have a cough and its hurts to cough. I wondered if others have had this so soon after RADS and what advice they were given by their oncolocist. I am gong to monitor it over the week and ring my radiotherpist department and ask them. I have read all kinds of things over the internet and on this site and I am not sure what my by next steps are? To complicate matters am in plaster as broke my ankle three days before my RADS started!
Hello, I am so sorry you are having such a horrible time so soon after starting Radiotherapy. Obviously as you would know if you have been" Googling" it could be any number of things, some of which are not related to the treatment. It might help you to give the Helpline a ring on Tel. 0808 800 6000 they are open Mon - Fri 9 - 5 pm and Sat 9 - 2 pm. If it gets any worse I am sure the on call GP could advise you.

I think you should contact your doctor.
One of the possibilities is that this is a blood clot related to your ankle being in plaster. There are of course plenty of others but best to get it checked out.
