Hello ladies, just wanted to say hi again. I was diagnosed with secondaries in bones and lungs 2007 ten years after my primary diagnosed. I used to be on here all the time for help and support but dont seem to come on here any more, dont know why as this site was a real help to me in hard times…Anyway just wanted to drop by and say hi again to those who remember me and to intoduce myself to those who are new. Four years in with secondaries and I am doing fine, I hope this gives you ladies with new diagnoses a bit of hope…

I was diagnosed in june 07 with secondaries to my lungs and bones…speckles in the lungs, and for the bones its in my spine pelvis shoulder ribs and right hip…
With Primary breast cancer I had FEC then for the secondaries I had taxotere, which worked a treat…so far I have not needed any more chemo, but will probably need more in the future. I take femara and calcuim tablets.
I am glad this post helped, I know I needed to hear things like this when I started on this journey. I thought I was not going to live 6 months let alone four years. They are coming up with new treatments all the time, we just need to stay around long enough for the cure… I am trying my hardest.

Yep found you on here LOL - glad you doing so well and as you know I am too so far, and my hair is growing back quite nicely again now lol. Do you not have your bishbosh no more then either. Must catch up again - we keep saying it, I keep getting tied up but I PROMISE I will.

Hi fayjay, you have made my day!!! THANKYOU. Ive got bone nd lung mets nd spent last few days in downward spiral. Im delighted for others who do not have bc mets in vital organs, but reading a few posts receintly where people are so pleased it is not in their vital organs, made me panic! Hope that makes sence! So, you have reversed this and THERE IS HOPE! Thank you for taking the time and well done. I promise to post too in 4 years time.

Hi Fay,
I was dx back in march this year with both primary and secondaries in my lungs, have been on the same treatment as you are taxotere and also herceptin, so far so good with reduction on lungs and the lump in my breast which was large at 6cm they could not find to measure it which is really really good news. On my last chemo next week cannot wait for that too be finished with then surgery mx in september.
Thank you for posting it is so encouraging to hear of someone further down the line and doing well 4 years on.
