I’m sorry you have to join us here, but you are still welcome. I think there are other mums looking after children on their own while fighting BC on this site. I’m sure someone will want to share experiences with you.
Losing your partner and being a single mum is tough enough for anyone, without having BC as well, but perhaps you fight even harder in that case.
Best wishes
Cheryl
hi FairyQueen, so sorry you’ve had to join us here, but you’ll find lots of support, and make some good friends along the way.
I’m older than you, but youngest is 18. Also grade 3 with nodes, but ER+. My heart goes out to you coping with this and having lost your soulmate too. (((hugs)))
Hi there
just wanted to welcome you + wish you all the best with the remainder of your treatment. I also have tnbc + am a mum. My son is nearly 21 months old so it’s been very tough. So sorry to hear about your loss too- some people have far more than their fair share of heartache
good luck

thankyou for your welcomes your support is everything is anyone else a single mom …am so glad i posted x
Yep, single mum here (though I’m seeing a lovely man). My then partner died nearly 6 years ago, though your circumstances were much more painful than mine I think. My kids range from 12 to 24, with the youngest two still at home. Kids are amazing, and I bet you worry more about them than you do about yourself? Yes, I thought so! I suspect they will really surprise you through all this.
Hi fairyqueen, just wanted to say hi, sorry you have had to join us but you’ll get so much support from here!
I’m 31 & also triple negative, just found out I have the BRCA1 gene too. I have two children, 5&9. Good luck with the rest of your treatment. Emma xxx
Wishing you good luck for your treatment xx
Hi…another single mam here but 45 at dx, with quite a few grandchildren as well. I’m also triple neg and doing fine although I didnt have a good prognosis when diagnosed 7+ years ago.Had so much vascular invasion I wasnt expected to get through chemo without it returning. The ride would have been a lot bumpier without my one good friend and all you girls on here.

Hi Fairyqueen,
Single mum here too! Two kids, 13 & 16 we all have our up & down days.
My now ex BF I’m better off without! (His only thoughts were for himself)
Been single mum for 8 yrs but excellent friends and Godparents of the kids! Plus I’ve been really surprised at how supportive my ex husband is being!
There are good people out there and we’ll support you here too.
Love & Hugs
