I have been looking out for your post-op post; was just starting to think you had deserted us! Sleeping on your back is wierd isn’t it. It took me about three months to be confortable on my side.
What did BCN say about the pain? Sensible to get it checked out if you are worried.

Sorry I was too washed out to post earlier.
The BCN said to go in to the clinic at 1pm.The Dr said all looked OK then spotted a seroma on my back and drained it.Aparently it can put pressure on a nerve that is still attached to the muscle that is now my new boob! Well it seems to have worked,the pain is much better ,just the post op pain I had before.Really glad I went!
I only realised when I got back that I hadn’t been breathing properly so that won’t help with my fatigue/exhaustion!
I hate sleeping on my back,I managed a bit on my side a couple of nights but not with the sharp pain.Might try 45 degrees tonight!
Just need to cross my fingers for results day on Tuesday,

I got back ffom the hosp on Fri after a mastectomy and LD flap recon too. I have a horrid swollen bit on lhs of back which I suspect is a seroma. Makes me look like an asymmetrical hunchback. Just off to doc’s now to have stitches out and will ask him about it.
Just out of curiosity, I had an implant as well, anyone know if it is OK to fly this soon after such a procedure? Going to France on 20th.

I am due to fly to USA tomorrow. I was back in hospital a couple of days ago with an infection in my new LD breast. The Drs were more concerned about the infection not settling than anything else. The risk of DVT is greater after any surgery on a longhaul flight but as long as you can get comfortable I would guess it is OK to fly to France (presumming you live in the UK). Perhaps check with your GP when you have your stiches out.
