Hiya Lou,
I was diagnosed on 20/6, so 2 days after you.
Still a shocker though isn’t it. I had a lumpectomy and now having rads. I’m 40, how old are you?
Sending you loads of hugs for the 12th

Hi Lulou

Sorry you have had to join us on here, but you will find LOTS of people on here wanting to talk and chat to you. I wish you well with your op on the 12th too. Sure it will all go ok. Whenever you want to talk though, everyone is here and even if you are down or sad, and want to scream or cry you can.

I am 39 yrs old and was dx with bc on 16 July, but then told it had already gone to my liver 10 days later. So straight onto chemo for me. Had first chemo on 8 Aug and second one last week and have to say, apart from the hair loss, it is not as bad as we all fear and is very doable. I have been really lucky to date with no other side effects.

Sending lots of love and thinking of you for the 12.

Take care
Love

Hi Lulou

No long now honey. I’m with you on the 12th but in soul as I’ll be in Haslar Hospital in Gosport. We can send some positive brave vibes…

love Vanessa

Hi Lulou,

I’m so sorry you’ve had to join us but ‘welcome’ to this most wonderful site. We are usually all up for chats so no worries there!!

I wish you well for your forthcoming op. I was diagnosed in March, age 34 and had my right mastectomy and total axillary clearance a week after diagnosis. I knew v.little about bc prior to diagnosis and it has been a VERY steep learning curve!!! The op was really ok and nowhere near as scary as I had imagined it to be! I started chemo in May and am due to finish mid-oct, hurrah!!! After that I am having rads, hormones and herceptin. They’re throwing the lot at this little blighter and I’m certainly not complaining!!

Take care of yourself, I will be thinking of you on the 12th and hoping all goes well.

Take care and let us know how you get on,

Kelly
