Good luck @katej and @mrsp27. I think for me, the period between finding my lump and actually starting treatment was the scariest part. You know thereās something wrong, but you have no idea how bad it will be so your mind goes all sorts of places. Also, google at this point is NOT your friend
Sending peace to you both
Thank you @kartoffel
The waiting has definitely been hard. 2 and a half hours and Iāll know. A little longer for @mrsp27 but hopefully weāll both have good news today.
Good luck to you both on your results today.
Sending hugs
Good news!! I have a papillomaā¦still have to have it removed and tested as the biopsy only tests a small part but theyāre 90% sure itās ok!!
Sorry to hear you are in this situation. The wait is horrendous. I had a Dr with pretty poor bedside manner and didnāt say a lot.
I found a lump so went in for mammogram, had ultrasound aswell and was straight into biopsy of both breasts.
I was in shock I think as had hoped would just be another normal mammogram. I am 40 and started screening early as my mother had great cancer in her 40s.
Anyway, the dr did say suspicious or scary etc. said there was two areas to be biopsies and once I have results I will need MRI and surgical consult.
This doesnāt sound great to me, and I wish I had asked more questions.
Results should be available next week but I can sleep or eat, this is awful. Feel for anyone who is or already has followed this journey.
Pleased you have had a better result than expected. The wait is horrendous and I am thinking of you and anyone else going through this.
I found a lump and went in and I had mammogram, ultrasound and then a biopsy of each breast. Naively thought it would be normal like in the past, Iām 40 and have been screening early as my mum had breast cancer in her 40s.
After my biopsies, where I was in shock so didnāt ask enough questions. The doctor said Iād need to see GO for results and then Iāll be having MRI and surgical consult. Still in shock I didnāt ask questions, but would they routinely order those if he didnāt know it was bad news already?
Sorry to hear about your situation.
I was diagnosed with grade2 right breast cancer last year.I went through multiple scans as each one showed different results. Then taking MRI results under consideration I underwent 6 chemotherapy. Then I underwent 2 reexcisions as I didnāt get clear margins. Then came the real surprise.I underwent vertical therapeutic mammoplasty in both breasts. My doctor strongly hoped that I would get clear margins this time.Still no clear margins. After that the results came out as a larger area having dcis which was not visible in scans. Finally I underwent mastectomy with mesh implant. Now again I am into 14 cycles of chemotherapy. My doctor mentioned that now no surprises finally.Adding to that I am undergoing early menopause as well.I am managing on my own .
So sorry to hear of everything you have had to go through to get a clear result. Iāll be pleased to get my MRI and see what is going on. Never fun when results are different and that waiting continues to find out what we are dealing with. I wish you good health and pleased no more surprises for you.
