Hi
We’re currently in the process of updating the Breast Cancer Care booklet about prostheses, bras and clothes after breast surgery. If you’d like to help us out by telling us about your experience, please complete the attached questionnaire and return it to <script type=“text/javascript”>eval(unescape(‘%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%70%75%62%6c%69%63%61%74%69%6f%6e%73%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%22%3e%70%75%62%6c%69%63%61%74%69%6f%6e%73%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b’))</script> by Wednesday 9 March.
You don’t have to answer all the questions but we would appreciate your help.
Many thanks
Leah (BCC)
Hi all
We’re still keen to hear from people about their experiences. If you have a chance to complete the questionnaire over the weekend, we would really appreciate it.
We’ll be looking at all the responses on Monday 21 March, so if you could return it to <script type=“text/javascript”>eval(unescape(‘%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%70%75%62%6c%69%63%61%74%69%6f%6e%73%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%22%3e%70%75%62%6c%69%63%61%74%69%6f%6e%73%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b’))</script> by Monday, that would be fantastic.
Thank you very much
Leah
Are you interested in bras and so forth for people who have had relatively small WLEs, axillary clearance and so on, or just those who have had most or all of a breast removed?
Even a relatively small WLE can leave breasts noticeably uneven, and underarm scars can result in at least temporary problems in getting a comfortable fit.
Cheryl
Yes please, Cheryl. Just leave out any questions that aren’t relevant, but we’d really like to get a range of experiences so we can reflect that in the booklet.
Thanks
Leah
I’ll have a go at it over the weekend for you.

Will do. I need to go have a proper fitting some time, so I will think about the questions and considerations I will take when I do.
Cheryl
Hi Leah
Can I ask why you need all the personal info at the start? I’m happy to share my experience of prostheses etc but this is very private and don’t really want my name attached.
Hi Elinda
You can just fill in the bits that you feel comfortable with. Some of the personal info we ask for can be useful to put your experiences in context, and to make sure we include a range of experiences. Also, we sometimes get back in touch with people to check details, or we get back in touch if we want to re-use the quote for another booklet etc. It’s fine to use a pseudonym if you don’t want your real name attached to it.
Hope that’s OK.
Leah
Too many personal questions, and questions on experiences too vague.
A tick-box questionnaire with room for comments would have been easier to fill in.
I’ll pass that feedback on to the publications team, Jeniffer.
Have completed and sent back. bumping up in case anyone else can do this over the weekend. Elinda x
Thanks so much to everyone who helped with this. We’ve had a fantastic response, and Pete in the publishing team is making his way through them all now.
We have enough responses now, so thank you all very much.
