Just posted about these on another thread - but I didn’t have blistering etc only bad soreness. My nurse prescribed me ActiFormCool gel sheets. The bumpf on the leaflet says this:
‘actiform is a non adhesive high water content hydrogel product. Dressing is a 2 sided transparent hydrogel formed around a supporting polyethylene matrix. Gel is permeable to water vapour, gases and small protein molecules but impermeable to bacteria.’
The science bit…
‘to manage nociceptive wound pain, to assist in autolytic debRidement by hydration of necrotic and sloughy tissue and for absorption of exudate. Suitable on painful wounds…radiation therapy damage.’
There’s lot more - I’ve found the really good. I know they are expensive cos nurse told me , not sure if you can buy them I got mine on script.
