Hi Hope223,
Has your friend been in touch with Macmillan? They have experts on benefits and finance and can also help with getting assistance from social services. They usually have someone based locally and will come out to the home if necessary. You can find their helpline number on the website at macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx I hope this helps.
I have stiff painful joints 3 months on from my chemo. I find doing most things difficult at the moment so I sympathise with your friend’s problems. Has her medical team arranged for physiotherapy to improve the mobility of her arm? I found it made a huge improvement to mine after my op.
best wishes jan xx
