I have just had my 6th mammogram after my dx at the end of 2009. I had a lumpectomy with a further excision to gain clear margins, chemo, rads, herceptin and 5 years letrozole. It has been a long road and I am so grateful to be NED. I hope this helps somebody at the beginning of their journey. xx

Great news Lala! Always lovely to hear ? I’ve just had my first year all clear so a way to go yet but it feels like a real milestone! Here’s to many more Xx Jo

Hi Lala, I am just about to have my first Herceptin injection after going through the same as you.  I am also on Letrozole.  Have you had any problem with osteoporosis, and did you take calcium and/or a bisphophonate?  I have been told I have osteoporosis in my spine and osteopenia in my hip, and I have been offered calcium & vitamin d3, and also alendronic acid.  I have heard bad reports about these drugs so I am worried about taking them.  Any advice?
