HER2+ and need some buddies

@sshini93 good morning, I had pain in my boob during chemo and the oncologist said most likely the tumour responding to the chemo x

Thank you @galdiolus @jeml  I’ll keep an eye, the lump has significantly went down and redness is almost gone, so hopefully that’s a good response

I hope you were able to speak to someone about their SNAFU last week. Was thinking about you both today and hoping they were able to resolve their screwup, or at least offer an earnest apology for causing so much distress.

Hi all

Hope you had a good BH weekend. By Monday I felt well enough for a day out but didn’t want to mix with a load of ā€œgermy peopleā€! We went and did the drive through safari at west Midland safari park. It was fun and the day felt almost normal. A welcome break from all the chemo stuff. These two stood right in front of our car- I thought you might enjoy the pic.

Sending love to you all

Hello everyone

Life has all got a bit manic as my Dad is in hospital with congestive heart failure and cellulitis and son is starting his GCSEs tomorrow and I’m still juggling two jobs but I wanted to check in and say that I do read every message and love how you all support each other. This group really is the best.

Love to you all,

Salbert

You look lovely and very fortunate to have a lovely wig lady. I had awful treatment when i went for a wig women were horrible pushy and just did not listen to what i wanted as the had nothing suitable. In the end they said my head was too big and had nothing for me. This is true without exaggeration, i was devastated, put me off even trying again shop hospital sent me to was on Ipswich . You look amazing xxxxx

So sorry to hear that @salbert. We have parallel lives at the moment. My father in law is having a heart operation tomorrow having been in hospital for over a week. He used to be a heart surgeon so no pressure on the consultant doing his op (who was trained by my father in law). First GCSE for my youngest today. A levels start for my eldest in a couple of weeks.

It’s hard isn’t it when life pulls you in so many directions. I will be thinking of you and sending you and your family good vibes.

That sounds horrible. What a shame. It just goes to show how different our experiences can be.

I hope you are doing ok with your treatment?

@salbert I’m so sorry to hear about your dad , you must be worried. Sick :sob: Is this a new diagnosis or something he already lives with ?

Good luck to your son … I feel for all the teens doing their GCSE’s … I certainly wouldn’t want to turn the clock back and do that again

Hi all
Just wondering please if anyone has had anything similar I know @kartoffel said previously that prior to her surgery they couldn’t size the lump exactly. I had an ultrasound last week which the dr doing the scan told me showed the lump had gone from 19mm to 13mm after 4 treatments but that my lymph nodes look clear so I was quite optimistic that at least the lymph nodes look clear.
Today I have had a call with oncologist and it has really put me on a downer! He said he would have expected the lump to be smaller by now. I also have a large area of what they have told me is pre cancerous/pre invasive cells DCIS previously but today he is saying he cannot now tell what this is until I have surgery and I am now worrying! When we said about the lymph nodes he said yes that’s good but wasn’t going to say. No reassurance at all x
