Hi :sparkles:

Thank you, I have a whole lorry load coming, Iā€™ll look like a complete M&S, Amazon, Syrokan bra shop soon, good god, all the returns, the poor post people! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

If you canā€™t see on the label, then that shows itā€™s a very good, well worn & comfy bra. Bless you.

I really do appreciate the time & effort you are helping with -
(I can imagine you ā€˜rummagingā€™ - going through cupboard drawers in my head) - I am determined to find one that is ā€˜the oneā€™ I have been known to cut elastic 8f too tightā€¦ but then the inevitable happensā€¦
Oops!

Thank you again xx

Hi Sammy8

Donā€™t know if you have looked at macom surgery bra, they are front fastening and you only need your band size, the cup shapes to your cup size. I had a lumpectomy, slnb & then a full axillary clearance and although I bought many others, I keep going back to these as I like the support that they give everywhere and are high enough under my arm to not rub on my scar.

Good luck with the search

Hi

Thank you, no I havenā€™t - but I will now.

I have no idea - I guess it is a bit like having a new pair of shoes after my best ā€˜go toā€™ ones Iā€™m used to, have been discontinued- sounds a bit bonkers & a very strange analogy. I hope it makes some sense.

Thank you for a new option to look at.

Take good care x

Try not to worry. I felt like such an idiot loitering in M&S on more than one occasion - trying on as many bras as I could findā€¦ I had also ordered some post op front fastening bras from Asda as Iā€™d read they were good, but the size wasnā€™t good for me at all. I would recommend against getting anything you have to pull over your head as you shouldnā€™t be reaching your arms up above shoulder height initially.
Hope that helps.
Had the second op on Tuesday and feeling sore todayā€¦ but not too bad.
Best wishes,
Miranda

Hello @mir-ie I hope you dont mind me asking, but was your second op to achieve clear margins? I am currently awaiting an MRI, after this I will be having my second op too xx

Hi @tracy1 ,
Actually this second op is 6 months after my first op in July, where I was told I had clear margins and no lymph node involvement. In Dec I found another lump near the scar from the first op. In Jan I had it investigated (9mm) and a biopsy and then it was confirmed 3 weeks later that it was cancerous, although first time PR+ ER+ HER2-, this time HER2+. Because I hadnā€™t had radiotherapy (it would have been due to happen in Jan) the proposed treatment was another lumpectomy and SLNB followed by radiotherapy.
Now I have the waiting game (one month!) to find out about the margins and whether there is any lymph node involvementā€¦
I had previously been offered chemo but I decided against it.
I wish you all the best with your second op and your treatment plan. X

Hi Mir-ie

Thank you for great suggestions. I have completed my bra mission. Have an George Asda duo (pretty good & frobt fastening) one M&S zip front fastening so fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

Bless you, I hope you feel better day by day. I was wondering about taking arnica tablets - any ideas about this? I hope you have decent pain relief x

Hi Sam,
Glad to hear that the George ones are a good fit for you.
I would ask the breast care team about taking Amica or any other products. I was advised to stop any supplements 2 weeks before the surgery - some can thin your blood which you donā€™t want at that time.
Best of luck x
