Hi Cindirella

it is normal to have pains which can continue for months after you have finished your radiotherapy. You can also develop firmness and swelling with colour changes. The burning sensation is also usual. I also had some skin splitting towards the end of mine but it quickly healed when I was given some cream to apply. The best thing I was told was to blow dry under my breasts after washing to avoid any rubbing or patting.

Hope it all continues well for you x

Best wishes Donna

Hi Cindi , not sure if your pains are like mine which feel like electric shocks. It was explained to me as nerve irritation/healing and apparently very common. Ibuprofen was suggested but I find the pains so intermittent and short lasting that although they can take your breath away they are gone so fast that it doesn’t seem worth it. Now nearly 4 weeks post rads and definitely getting less frequent. Does lead to some odd boob-clutching moments which I don’t even bother to explain ?
Hope the rest of your treatment goes well.
