AM I hiding my head in the sand?Probably. Since i was diagnosed last week i have refused to talk to anyone including the hospital who called me on friday wanting to know what i was doing i told them i couldn t talk.i ve decided not to do anything and i wish the doctors would leave me alone as in my mind they have become enemy number 1.also i keep on getting high fevers is that normal?
It’s noraml to want to run away from this thing but breast cancer can be treated successfully. Please don’t leave it too late to get the treatment you need. Talking to other people who’ve been through it can be a great help.
Dear Donata
Please don’t think of the doctors as your enemies. They only want to help you. I know you can’t handle this situation with your other problems, I don’t want to be cruel, but those other problems are your real enemy, as they are preventing you from getting the help you need. As the others have said, a small part of you must want that help, or you wouldn’t have posted.
Please, please please Donata, talk to someone about this.
I don’t know what is causing the high fevers. This is something you must also discuss as a high fever can be very dangerous.
Sending hugs and hoping you are able to face this thing soon.

Hi Donata
It’s the shock that is making you initially want to hide away. We all deal with that in different ways, some better than others, depending on life experiences.
Now you have had some time to think more clearly and your all grown up and able to realise the Doctors are not the bad people …they are on your side. Now let’s get back on track an start to get a plan of attack together, to fight it best you can. 1 in 8 people get breast cancer and you will find a lot of them on here, supporting one another and yes, even having a laugh.
