Holiday insurance??

Hi Girls

My youngest twin sons are 18 soon and Im taking them away with my parents to a villa in portugal. My question is has anyone got any insurance company details as I will be driving whilst away and feel I should get some. To be honest I haven’t bothered before.
Thanks

Hi, Debbie,

Let me know if you can find any insurance - have tried a few companies. Some won’t touch me at all and insurepink wanted nearly £900!! Where abouts in Lancs are you?

My sister who has just finished chemo for a recurrance of breast cancer has been insured by insurepink for £70 for the fortnight, she is going to Spain - she isn’t a driver though - maybe it is this that makes the difference. Can nobody else drive?

Thanks for the comments everyone!
No Holly, unfortunately there is only me that can drive, I have taken all the children in times past and driven much further, but since the bc I am to say the least really apprehensive! Thanks Sam for the info,I will check the site suggested, & hi Nic, I live near Wigan, is that near to where you are?

Just got insurance for 10 days to Germany from Miaonline - £44, which is quite a bit cheaper than Insurepink offered. ordinary companies won’t insure me at all.

Hi

I have been buying annual insurance and have been using the “Insure&Go” Online.

My renewal this year was after my mastectomy, so I had to ring them for cover. They were very helpful and told me that I wouldn’t be covered for anything to do with BC, but that is OK as I’m not expecting to use it for that anyway, everything else was covered as normal. Premium was £110 on Platinum Cover (No Excess) or £100 for Gold (with Excesses) for 1 Year for Family (2+2) Worldwide.

The other thing you may have to think about when you go motoring abroad is a Green Card for your Car Insurance.

Hope this helps
