Hope and Thanks

I did not know under which category to put this post. Hopefully it might be of some help to those newly diagnosed. Today I had my last radiotherapy session, after a period of 11 months covering diagnosis, operation, chemo (CMF) and radiotherapy.

I cannot believe that I did not sign up to this site before. It seems ironic that I have only signed up this evening, at the end of treatment, and in theory not expecting to have much use for it in the future (one hopes!).

However, I need to put in writing what part this site played in my journey. I live overseas, and even though I speak the language, I always found the most useful information here. It is quite staggering just how much can be found on its pages. But most importantly, the never ending stream of discussion topics has provided practical advice, answers to all my doubts and feelings, and of course, lots and lots of laughs. So I just wanted to thank BreastcancerCare and all you extra - ordinary women out there who, without even knowing, have shared my fears, doubts, tears and laughter.

A huge thank you to you all and keep up the good work!!

hello Christine,
I am newly diagnosed a week ago and awaiting a mastectomy and any follow up treatment needed. I have found this forum today, when I couldn’t sleep, and I just know it is going to be such a help to me. I do wish you well for the future, and it would be lovely if you could encourage us with your thoughts.
God bless, Ann
