As I’ve read though various threads and posts it’s become apparent that people aren’t always asking for help with their side effects.
I thought it might be useful to have a thread of things that have helped. It might help those with a huge benefit from these drugs to stay on them/improve quality of life.
I didn’t manage to stay on Letrozole for long (although I still have some SE) but these were useful:
Itchy feet - GP prescribed a menthol aqueous cream and told me to take a daily over the counter antihistamine. Told to go back for stronger antihistamines if needed.
Vaginal dryness - GP prescribed a vaginal moisturiser (Yes Yes). I was told I can have an oestrogen vaginal cream if needed as only absorbs a tiny amount.
Stiff & swollen hands & arm weakness - squeezing a tennis ball sized soft ball
General all over stiffness - Pilates stretches
