I am about half way through my second packet of Tamoxifen. I am having one hot flush per night but goodness my periods have changed, cramps the lot!! I had to take 2 Nurofen this morning as the pain in my legs was unbearable, and now I know that Nurofen is a trigger for my hot flushes, I practically glowed around Sainsburys.

Can I offer some hope to any pre-menopausal ladies just starting Tamoxifen and having Hot flushes.
I considered stopping the Tamoxifen due to night sweats, hot flushes , no sex drive etc . I stayed with it and after a couple of months you start to get used to the flushes a little. After six months my flushes stopped suddenly and I had my first period for 8 months. Now everything is back to normal and still no flushes.
I get sore joints and sore feet in the morning ( which is quite a rare side effect i,m told) but its worth it for the extra protection.
