Hi I haven’t been on these forums for a while. I had breast cancer diagnosed in 2006 age 37. The following year I tested positive for a BRACA2 gene mutation and consequently have yearly MRI and mammograms. I had this years MRI a couple of weeks ago and was due for my mammogram tomorrow. The breast clinic have phoned to move the time of my appointment as they need to do an ultrasound as well, which I wasn’t expecting. Does this mean that they are concerned about something on the MRI - I haven’t had the results from this yet.
i always thought that the mri was more thorough and indepth than either the scan or mammo? i had both last year but had mammo first then scan then mri
