Hello i`m new , i was diagnosed with bc in May , had my op and finished rads in september .

The thing that has got to me is i just dont sleep .As soon as my head hits the pillow my brain wakes up then im tossing and turning nearly all night . I`m lucky to get 4 hrs sleep a night .

Anyone else overcome this ?

Hi loony55,I know the feeling  sometimes I dread doing to bed.I am so tired during the day especially if I have had very little sleep then I get over tired.people tell me it’s my age which doesn’t help (60) I find my mind is overactive once I hit the pillow.unfortunately I have tinnitus which I have had about 2yrs now, buzzing in my head and ears.I was told to have white noise back ground music.so now I listen to different relaxation ones and it really relaxes me and helps me focus on other things rather than my negative thoughts which I sometimes have.you should try it.hope I have helped you a little, good luck x

Not sure if this is for you but I have taken zopiclone since I was diagnosed in October and a few other ladies do too. I figured I would be better tomfightnthis thing if I slept! Having said tha, now surgery is over and start chemo next week I am stopping taking it next week as it has slowly started. It to work anyhow, but it is great short term. The other thing to try is sleep, aid or melatonin. So,e people don’t like taking anything but my views are that if it he,ps, why not ? Xx
