How fast will things move

Can anyone tell me if I have got BC on Monday how fast things will move from there on. I am at Frenchay in Bristol.

Hi again,

When i was diagnosed i started chemo a week later to shrink the tumours first before mastectomy. I am at James cook hospital in middlesbrough.
Please try not to get ahead of yourself though, your onc seemed to think you will be ok so i would try to concentrate on that.
When i went for my tests and biopsy my onc told me she was very suspicious of the biopsy so i had an idea what was to come, when i got results a week later i really already knew so did not hit me so hard.
I am very positive about my treatment and just take everything a day at a time. (i am 45 by the way)

Try not to think the worst. I will be thinking of you tomorrow, please let us know how things go.

Hi

When I was dx in July, my treatment started about 12 days later. I don’t think that they hang around too much. The chemo is very doable and don’t be afraid about it, as we all are at the start. It is ok and there is really no pain involved. I have now had 4 out of 6 chemo sessions with my 5th on Wednesday. I think once you start treatment, you become a lot more positive and calmer - will I did, as prior to treatment I was a wreck.

I am 39 yrs old and was very healthy or I thought I was till all this came about and have a 3 yr old and 11 month old, so am fighting hard …

Good luck anyway and let us know how you are.

Hi

They did not really hang about with my treatment once dx was made,I am now at rads planning stage, and must say once treatment actually started I felt much calmer and able to cope the waiting is the worst bit. I am 53 and quite healthy or at least I thought I was, in fact I still feel really healthy if a bit bit sore and stiff from surgery, and I suppose I was one of the lucky ones I did not have to have chemo, I think all you girls who have chemo are really brilliant and so positive, I am not sure how I would cope, but then I didnt think I could cope with a masectomy. By the way I have 5 children the youngest of which is 12 today and is the only one living at home, and she is amazing, she has researched bc and is really well informed, and also has done some fund raising for bc whilst changing to the big school and managing to come top in the half termly exams, she is always positive and helps no end, and makes me think positive any way must stop rambling and see if oh is getting lunch ready.

Take each step as it comes and take care
