How long between surgery and chemo?

Hello all
Just curious to know how long everyone had to wait from surgery to first chemo.
My appointment seems to be taking forever.

I had my mastectomy on 4th Sept and started chemo on 10th Oct 2006

15 weeks. I kid you not. I wasn’t exactly pushing for it though. It’s not entirely bad to have some time for things to heal.

mastectomy-immediate recon and reduction on 31 st May- started chemo (FEC) six weeks later - all seemed a bit quick but glad to be getting on with it - good lick - hope you hear something soon Molly and good luck to us all love xx

Hi Molly

Had surgery on 22 May and started chemo on 25 July - I was 30 weeks pregnant when having surgery and I had to have baby induced at 37 weeks avoiding if at all possible a c-section. I started chemo two weeks after my baby was born. If I was going to have a c-section they said it could be no later than 37 weeks to give the wound time to heal. If I hadn’t been pregnant I would definitely have started my chemo earlier.

Sorry Molly, been there, done that and got the t-shirt!!! Surgery was in 2006 and my cheeky little monkey is now 2 and teething - final few coming through. Sleep/rest - what is this??? Love xxx
