How long from Biopsy to being diagnosed?

Hi ladies, I hope you don’t mind me asking but I was just wondering how long you waited for your diagnosis? I had all my tests Saturday. Thank you.

Hello Dt123, I was exactly one week from biopsy to results and discussion re surgery, then a further 6 days till WLE. This was followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy and 5 years Anastrozole ( I was diagnosed Jan 2013). Not sure if this is the norm for all areas of UK. Good luck with your results, Pat x

    I had to wait a week for results I think this is the norm, but tbh my consultant had already said he was fairly sure it was BC so I pretty much knew from the off, I had ultrasound scan, mamo and biopsy all in the same day as the area I am in operates a 1 stop clinic at the royal marsden

Aw Debs terrible time for the news, although I guess there’s never a good time. I have no idea when I’ll find out as the just said they’d let me know when they had the results.the Lady who did the ultrasound seemed like there was something there but the Dr I saw after said it was probably benign. Do you know how they knew straight away with you? Thanks for replying and I hope your doing ok xxxx

Thank you and I hope you get your answers soon. Why did they do more biopsies? I rang the clinic today to ask, should I of made an appointment? They said no, we will call you when we have the results. x

Will do Debs x All the best to you, thanks again x I feel really great today actually. Have told myself I’m fine. I rang the clinic today, she said they should have Saturdays testing results by Thursday and if it’s ok they will tell you over the phone. So shouldn’t have long to wait. XX

So I got my follow up appt today for 27 May which is the day we go on holiday. Have rang them and told them I can’t make it. The Nurse has done some digging and advised me my results are not back yet. She said she will call me tomorrow and let me know if they are in. If it’s all clear she’ll tell me. If not I’ll need an appointment. X

I just had to wait one week
