How quickly does hair loss happen after first treatment?

Starting my first cycle of FEC next Wed. Still trying to find headwear I’m happy with by searching on-line and deciding about getting the chop. How quickly does hair loss happen after first treatment? X

I was wondering the same. Got given information on getting a wig on the NHS and she did say it should fall out shortly after the second round. I start on Tuesday.

Hiya,

 

Mine started falling out 12 days after my first treatment.  I am now 14 days after my second treatment and have got quite a lot of hair still. 

 

I had it cut short before treatment then had it clippered really short (was told shaving not safe) when it started falling out.

Anon, if you click on the forum ‘getting through treatment’ I have also asked the question there and there are also other people giving helpful tips if you’d like to see those also. I’ll be thinking of you Tuesday. … I’ll only be a day behind you xx

I had my first chemo two weeks ago and so far nothing but they say everyone is different

I was told it happens after second dose of FEC I start a week Tuesday and want some trendy headwear apart from the hats that seem to scream hair lose/cancer !!

I have bought some trendy headwear at a reasonable price at Anna Bandana.
First cycle of fec for me was 22nd June and I’ve had hair completely chopped and wearing headscarves already, so in my head my hair is gone already so don’t even think about that now xx
