I don't like this at all

I’m 27, I found a lump last November and had a scan and they said it was nothing etc
I skipped out of there quite happily!
Three days ago I found what feels like two largish lumps together, one an odd kind of shape … in a similar place to the last lump but lower down, I’m sure I don’t remember feeling them before or feeling them at all more recently but now I’m scared … it feels so hard and it’s so obvious to me … I’m scared
I can’t seem to cope with this all very well at all. No BC in family but I know that means very little to be honest … was told at last appointment breast and armpit pain I was experiencing can happen, he also can’t have felt those lumps the last time I assume or he would have looked into it more?!
I don’t know but I feel low and I’m worried xx

Hi Alex, I can appreciate your concern. I was at the doctor last September for my annual check-up and the doctor was wanting me to get scheduled for a mammogram, and I flippantly told her, like I have for the past several years (I was 50) that I didn’t need one…my boobs are so small that if there was anything there I was sure I would feel it, and so “no thank you”.  So she says o.k. and proceeds with her exam. As soon as she starts her exam of my left breast she kinda stopped and said “have you ever felt this lump before?” She had me feel it, and it felt the size of a peanut. So I figured I’d best get the mammogram. Surprisedly enough the mamo didn’t show anything, but the technican could definitely feel the lump so she did an ultrasound and found it.  However, she nor the doctor could decide what it was, and so the doctor decided to take a “wait and see” and wanted me to come back in six months.  So my next appointment is set for March 2, 2017. It feels like it has gotten larger, and feels like maybe there is now a second one, and the area extending down under my armpit has been pretty sore. Guessin’ that’s not a good sign. Guess we will have to wait and see.

hi Alex,
As this will continue to play on your mind, its best to get it checked out again as any new changes should be looked at. It’s highly unlikely to be anything serious, but better this is confirmed.

Hello and welcome, althoug it is not really a place you would choose to be.

For peace of mind I would make an appointment with the doctor and ask for a referral to the breast clinic, they are the experts and they deal with a lot of breast condition which are totally benign.

The reason you are feeling low is probably due to feeling scared and worried. One thing is for sure, we all know that feeling on here, we have all been there and this is the worst time where you are worried it is something but do not know what it is.

We are all here for you to support and help where we can,let us know how you get on
