Went to hospital for tests today and consultant couldn’t feel my lump, even though my doc had felt it and reckoned it was about 3cm.
He asked me to show him where it was and when I sat up and located it, he told me ‘hang on, if you need to sit up, then it isn’t a lump’
He didn’t even want to feel it.
I felt so stupid, I felt I was wasting his time.
He did send me for a mammogram, and said if it didn’t show anything then I could go home.
The radiologist examined my mammogram and then called me back in for an ultrasound. she did check thoroughly and found the lump herself. but luckily she said nothing showed up on the ultrasound either and she was sure it was either a fatty lump or my milk duct.
So I feel I have been sent home with a tail between my legs and sorry for wasting everyones time.
I would just like to say a big thank you to all of you who responded to my messages and I feel I have definately gained some friends on here. I will be viewing it often to see how you are all doing. I wish you all well.
