I started my chemo 20th August and I’m due to have 2nd chemo next week on 11th Sept. Just been in hospital for a few days as my white blood count low and had temperature - great ! Just wondered if I can join monthly thread for August or should I join Sept - not sure how it works as I’m new ?
Hi Little Lily, I am one of the august group. We are called the ‘maisies’, it started as amazing augusts but got shortened, we like it though. We’re glad to have you join our group, just sorry you need to be here. You have come to the right place to get good support, we cant change anything but we all help each other through the minefield of breast cancer. The support is “amazing”, pardon the pun there. I had a lumpectomy on 5th July and first dose of chemo (dunking) on 19th August, so should get my 2nd dose on monday 9th August, not far away from you. I then will have 3 weeks rads and 1 year on Herceptin. There are ladies on here having all different kinds of treatment and you will find someone that has the same plan as yours so you can compare notes. Welcome aboard, enjoy the banter and support, the maisies are a good bunch. If you follow the thread for August, since you started in august that will be good but you can post anywhere you like on the website, as long as you get the support you need, thats what counts. I will look out for you on the thread xx
