Hi Poannie

Sorry can’t help you with lymphoedema. I can’t sleep either I have mets in my bones which have become increasingly painful over last few weeks. Saw G.P today who has given me tramadol, diclofenac and omeprazole so likewise I worried as well as have only taken the tramadol but hasn’t done much up to now. Got my bishbosh wednesday and will ask for May’s check up to be brought forward.

Everything always worse in the small hours.

Hi both of you - Sorry you can’t sleep, as you say everything seems worse at night! I’m in Australia so have just had breakfast!
Sorry to hear about your hand J, and yes it may well be lymphoedema. It’s good that you are seeing the very person who can help you tomorrow, and I am sure that she will be able to give you the help and advice you need.
And Deniom so sorry that you are awake with the pain and worry of bone mets, and do hope that with the right medication you can be pain free. Sorry I can’t do anything but send cyber hugs and let you know I am thinking of you both. Sarah x

Hi Poannie,

I have lymphoedema in my hand. To begin with I was horrified, it is my right hand and although I am slim (naturally a beanpole) I felt I had a fat person’s hand stuck on the end of my arm.

Since going to the lymphoedema clinic the swelling has really gone down. I know what sets it off and now have a compression glove to wear if I know I am going to do something that will strain it. For me that is cooking - peeling & chopping vegetables seems the worst. So I wear my glove before I start cooking. It gets really messy!

Otherwise no-one would notice that anything is wrong.
