if you find a lump under your armpit first, does that mean that the cancer has spread

i found a lump under my armpit, then approx 3-4 wks lterfound one in my breast, th results from the breast biopsy show grade 3 invasive carcinome, does that mean tht because the lump was in the breast first that it has spread to my body

so sorry you have to deal with this, but try not to worry too much…(I know easier said than done).
I also had 2 lumps in lymphnodes but thankfully it had not spread anywhere else in the body, well nothing that could be seen through the tests anyway. Any stray cells that may have been there have been dealt wih by the chemo.

I was also grade 3, witha 4cm lump in my breast, and was scared to death initially, but responded exremely well to chemo. I’m saying this hoping to reassure you a little.

I would imagine you are going to have further tests though, have they told you anything?

Maybe this may be of some comfort to you, I was diagnosed with grade3 stage 3 and 2 lymph nodes involved in 2001, there was not and still isn’t cancer anywhere else.
I am still here and still very fit. Don’t see it as doom and gloom, try to look past the treatment and you still have a good life ahead of you.

Hi all
I didnt even find a lump anywhere,just had a pain in my left armpit.Went to docs he sent me to hosp.2 wks later was dx with bc .That was 3 yrs ago .I had 20 lymph nodes removed 19 were cancerous,a 4mm lump removed from my breast.I had chemo,radio and tamoxafen.Last yr i had double mast and recon from my tummy.I know it sounds a lot and i dont want to scare anyone.I just wanted to say that whatever they throw at you,you will cope with and overcome.It was all worth it if i get up in the morn and see my young kids smile at me.I am back to normal(if i ever was) and doing everything i used to do,living life to the full.

just reading your post has gave me a bigger look on it all …

i have found it hard but i will fight it all the way …as you say …you wont to get up in the mornings and see you kids/kid and smile …

and live life to the full …puts a whole new spin on life

hiya I found a lump under my arm first but thought it was a monthly thing, few months later found in breast, was grade 3 and had masectomy and clearnance under arm as cos lump was large assumed it would be in lots of them, the reason why it was so large was down to the fact that it had swelled and hadnt spread past the 1 lymph node - Im half way through chemo and doing much better than expected
