I just wanted to find out if anyone else had experienced a breakout of spots after their first FEC?
I have got them all around my hairline and nurse says its because my immune system is at its lowest so nothing to worry about, I get very greasy hair so I can only presume its a natural side effect, they hurt though!!! They are big fat juicy ones too ;o)
Hope everyone is OK today, I have been at work for the past 2 days and its nice to have a little bit of normality again!
I had the very same problem with my first EC chemo, although mine were down the back of my neck and shoulders.
They were quite sore and red but are easing off now but am due next chemo on Thurs
Yes it helps massively!! Mine are the same, quite sore and red so i’m hoping it eases off, have my next one on the 19th so i’m hoping they have by then!!
Take care and good luck for the next one

Hi Mel
I was on epirubicin initially and after my first treatment my face and back of neck was just covered in sore, painful spots. It was a one off and hooray - no more spots! In fact, 4 epirubicins and 4 CMFs later, my skin has never looked better! My skin is so soft and I have a lovely dewy complection that I never had before!!
Like Carly, I too had bad spots after the first FEC, and then lovely skin for the rest of the chemo. One of the nurses told me it was the steroids which give you the spots.
I had a few spots , mainly on my legs (!) initially. Now I get told all the time how lovely my skin is! It’s very strange, only on Saturday someone said “what lovely clear skin you have”.
Shame it’s not quite the same on the inside, feel a bit nauseous this week!
Yep, have quite a lot of spots following first FEC, most of them on my scalp, so hidden at the moment but could be revealed to the world at any moment - am waiting for hair to go any day soon!
Am looking forward to the dewy, peachy skin some of you seem to be enjoying, got to be some upsides to chemo?!
