Immediate reconstruction - advice please

I’ve just come back from the breast clinic and been told that the second suspicious area is benign calcification, so it’s just a lumpectomy, followed by rads. It’s taken since 5 November and a trip to the mobile screening unit, four trips to the breast clinic, two biopsies and an MRI, but they finally got to the bottom of it. I’m just glad I did all the waiting now, as to have had a mx unnecessarily would have been awful. Huge sigh of relief. The doc offered to operate next Tuesday, as I’d been waiting so long, but we’re going away and if we cancel that, goodness knows when we’d get away, so I declined. So my op will be on 12 Feb.

Thanks to you all for all the information, even though I didn’t need it. I felt calmer today going to the clinic, armed with lots of information and anticipating the worst, I knew what I was facing if I needed to face it and it was a great help.

Good luck all. x
