Help needed, I have breast asymmetry after having 2 ops in 2008, with chemo and rads, I would rather have the implant to correct this, but my PS has advised that this can cause major problems as the implant may cause capsular contracture. Has anybody out there had this problem? I did want lipofilling but my PS has advised against this as well, my BCN was more helpful but they seem to have left the final decission to me on what way I wish to go. I am really worried about this now, I am due to see the PS in 2 weeks and must have my mind made up by then as they are planning to do the op in January after I return from my holiday. I have read all the handbooks they gave me but it has not really helped. Can anybody tell me what expierence they have had with re balance ops after a WLE please. Confused.com!!!
sorry cant help too much, i had masectomy but had expander in as temporary stretching option and it does feel really hard around the rads scar area. Maybe you should spend more time thinking about it, not sure what your options are but lipofil sounds good and i think there’s something new called strattice which i dont know a lot about.
