Is anyone else on the trials for rads?
I agreed and read all the literature about it. It all seems fine but the main reason I agreed was the extra security of having follow up treatment for 10 years as opossed to 5. Another selling point in the leaflet was that I would only need 15 treatments if I took part in the trial but when I went for my planning session I was scheduled for 23 rads!
Has anyone else had the same experience or am I just a worry wort?

I am in the middle of the IMPORT trial, as are a few other ladies - there is another thread on heresomewhere. I was selected for the standard arm of the trial (23 sessions) also and had no 14 today. All going well - bit of redness to skin area and a slight ache in the upper chest for the past day but according to the radiograhpers this is exactly what they were expectign at this time. Please do not worry - I had chemo before this and in comparison there is no comparison if you know what I mean!!!.
I too was compelled to take part because of the follow up we get. Good luck with it - you will be fine:)
