What is the most recent effective procedure after core biopsy of the breast for an unidentified mass is inconclusive to explain the mass?
Cynthia
When I had my first biopsy the results came back that they were not sure whether it was or was not breast cancer so my consultant suggested that they did a mammotome biopsy she told me that this would tell them conclusively if it was breast cancer or not. They could do it there and then for me and I would have my results the next week. What my consultant said was that she did not want to send me away from the appointment without being sure and my not having a mammogram for another three years. I had it done and went back the following week, it was definitely cancer.
I dont know if this has been of help but hope so.
