increasing lymphodaema

increasing lymphodaema was driving yesterday to collect daughter from uni in Wolverhampton.got within 5 miles and ran into back of a car at a roundabout!was mortified and shaken but apart from some damage no one hurt but today noticed when l got up that the lymphodaema in my arm is a lot worse and my arm is aching and fingers feel number.Think accident is cause-do you think it will go down and any tips on how to ?Doing exercises etc.Its getting me down as more obvious as well as painful/.end of moan! sharonx

Hello Taffy Sorry to hear about the accident. The lymphodeama is of great concern. Go to see your GPand obtain a referral to someone to specialises in this. From what I have read if lymphoedema is not treated early it can become chronic. A chronic fat arm is a bit of a visible eyesore. So please seek a professional so it does not become chronic

Lympho I have lymphodema and I think it was a bit harsh to say a fat arm is an eyesore!! Do get it checked out but you will be able to do something about it, dont leave it. Try and rest it if possible and keep it raised if possible. Hope your ok after the accident.
