Hi,
just wanted to ask if anyone else had an inflammed vein/veins after chemotherapy.
I have that tight, bruised feeling all along my vein from just below my thumb right to the top of my arm. When I reach out for anything it pulls and is sore, bit like I was told to expect if I got cording.
Any suggestions? I can’t use ibroprofin as I’m allergic to it.

I had inflamed veins after chemo, they where red and very sore(phlebitis i think it’s called) I was given some cooling bandages to put on by practice nurse.
I had cording which was different it was painful when moving arm especially when reaching out and not red. Get it checked if your worried, my cording gradually settled.
Hi I had an inflammed vein/tethering during chemo. I was given some Hirudoid(?) cream for superficial phlebitis which helped a bit. Ice can also help as well as some gentle stretching. There are some old threads about this. I will try and find them and bump them up for you.
