Hi @madge Welcome to the breast Cancer Now forum.
I and many others have recommended M&S, Asda George and Primark for bras that are comfortable after surgery. There is also a company https://www.evenlybreasts.com/ that sell inserts for your bra to even out your breasts. They also have information on the best bra styles.
I hope this helps🥰
Hi Madge,
Thank you for posting. Many women find that the size and shape of their breasts can change after surgery and radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer. This can make it more difficult to find bras that fit and are comfortable.
You can buy post-surgery bras in person or online and it is a good idea to have your bra size checked first. Many high street stores and lingerie shops have experienced and specially trained bra fitters who can measure you, advise you on a suitable size and bra, and supply specialist post-surgery bras.
Some women who have one breast larger than the other, find that wearing a partial prosthesis can help give them more comfort and confidence. Prostheses are available on the NHS and many breast units will have specialist clinics where you can be fitted. It may help to ask your breast care nurse or your GP to refer you to a prosthesis fitting clinic.
Our videos explaining about bra fitting and prostheses give more information. We also provide a list of specialist bra and prosthesis suppliers.
You may also find it helpful to read our leaflet on breast prostheses, bras and clothing after breast surgery.
