I had my lump removed last week. This morning my daughter asked what the stains were on my night shirt, when I checked my wound was slightly open and oozing. I rang the doctors and was told to go and see the nurse.
My daughter who is 14 came with me. The nurse looked at it and thought it was infected so took a swob which made it drip constantly. My daughter then said she was feeling abit funny so went to go out the door, luckily another nurse who was training helped her with the door then a min later shouted for assistance, my daughter had fainted! She watches all sorts of medical programmes on tv so thought she would be ok. She had been stood up, it was a warm room and she hasn’t been looking after herself properly either, not eating regularly and she has lost alot of weigt too.
I spoke to her after and she admitted she needs to take more care of herself and that my bruised yucky oozing breast just looked auful too which probably made her feel sickly.
Anyway have to keep putting swobs on to mop up the ooze, told to see my GP tomorrow to see what he wants to do but I can’t see what else he will do until the test is back, then the nurse again Thur for the results of the swob. I know it’s only an infection but you do worry what damage it could do depending what it is and I have enough to think about waiting for the results.
Take care
