intimit with partner

Hi

I know this is a personal question but is anyone else finding it difficult to be intimit with their partner.
I’m 43 been married for 21years. Since having mx, recon and chemo I am finding it very hard to be intermit with my husband. I dont like the way I look, new boob with no nipple, I have put on weight since all this has started. I have joined a slimming club and so far lost 5lb so Im doing something about the weight but I cant do anything about the boob. Also the hot fluses dont help.

Hi Gillian,

I’m sure other forum users will be along soon to share thier knowledge and experiences with you on this subject, which is well discussed on these forums. While you are waiting I have put for you below links to 2 of BCC’ s publications which you and your partner might find helpful to read.

Gilliancw, What I found helpful was telling my partner how I was feeling , have a mascetomy no recon, I said I felt scarred and unwomanly. His positive response that he loved me gave me courage to be open to sex again. Maybe this sounds silly but asking your partner to seduce you worked for me. The proof of his arousal, lets face its obvious in a man! gave me the confidence to be affectionate back which encouraged him to be more affectionate. A nice back massage can lead to lots of interesting things.
