Hi @Hevs ,
Thanks for posting.
This sounds like a particularly difficult time for you, looking after your wife whilst she undergoes treatment for breast cancer, especially having 2 diagnoses yourself.
Fatigue (tiredness) is a common side effect of hormone therapies like the letrozole you are taking. It can also be a side effect of Mounjaro. The stress you are under currently and your nutritional intake are also possible factors.
Many people ask about the use of vitamins, supplements or herbal medicines, as they want to do as much as possible to be healthy following a diagnosis of breast cancer, to help manage the side effects from treatment or other symptoms.
There is often the belief that these products are safe as they are considered natural. However, some can interfere with conventional medicines, including cancer treatments.
You don’t say who prescribed Mounjaro for you, or whether you still have any contact with your own breast cancer treatment team, but it’s important to report the tiredness you’re experiencing to them, so they can assess you and give you further advice.
It’s also always important to speak to your treatment team, GP, or a pharmacist before taking any supplements.
Looking after yourself and finding support if you need it is also important whilst caring for your wife. We offer a range of free supportive services which you may be interested to help you do this.
