I’ve had mets (bone and liver) since 2013. Luckily, I’ve responded well to treatment (Letrozole and Zometa) and apart from some of the usual tiredness, I’ve been feeling pretty good. I’ve even joined a gym because I know that exercise helps - just some treadmill walking. Only problem is I seem to have a bout of vertigo every so often. I used to get vertigo (usually after a flight or perhaps swimming) but not regularly like this. GP doesn’t think it’s related so just wondered if anyone else had similar problems.

I suffered from labyrinthitis (similar?) before BC which was always brought on by stress. Had it about twice a year and it wiped me out for a week. Not BC/treatment related but once you have it in your system I think it can be a regular thing like cold sores. Once it happens you are easily susceptible. Helen xx
Hi Lyndsey I’m still trying to find my way on here and decided to just put "Liver"in the search bit and found your post!I have my first oncologist meeting in the morning.Still find all this unreal until I get rib cage pain((Do you have any advice? Big hugs Debx
Yes, as Helen did, I had labarythitis and since then…if I turn my head sharply in bed that can set it off, as can tipping my head sharply up or down, its due to small granules, which float in fluid in the midfle ear, getting moved.
( if this has been said, then please forgive me.
I was pointed towards Buccastem, a very low dose antisickness tab which is placed under the top lip. ( i keep them in my bag now) However, ask your Doctor first as it could interact with other meds we are on.
the other thing is…I find that certain drugs can set off the vertigo symptoms…Boots Cold Reliever did it for me( perhaps i shouldnt have had that glass of wine earlier!) some sleeping tablets can do it too.
let us know what the doc thinksxxx

Hi i have the spinning. Not all the time but when i lay down quick or move my head too quick. My doctor days its not cancer related. Its a build up of skin and old tissue(dead skin) inside your ear cannal. Because its hard and built up over a long time its dufficult to remove. He suggested a couple of drops of olive oil each night. I did it for a couple of weeks but it didnt make any difference. Just spotted the date of this post. Going to reply anyway incase you still have it like me x
