sun shining down here too, I am about to plant up some containers.
The hotel venue was quite nice , food good and relaxed we sat chatting after the resaurant had emptied and they didn’t hurry us along. But we can do somewhere else next time its up to you all
I have started a group email so those who haven’t can PM me their details or I will also update the thread. Lets look at a good day to suit all in May.
Nantwich would do for me about same distance as last one.
I am away from 5th to 17th May so I wouldnt be able to come then.As for an alternative venue I’m very happy with Rhian’s organisational skills.
Love Valx
Hi everyone
As long as i feel okay I’m happy to drive to wherever, but I think I’m the opposite end of the county to most of you, so North Shrops is a long way. Am happy to drive to Shrewsbury area though. But don’t change anything just for me, if I feel ok I will get to you wherever you are.
I finally feel calmer and more like my old self now. It’s taken me a long time to come to terms with everything and I have been very emotional. I thought I was cracking up there for a little while. But now I’m ready for battle and I’m going to make the best of the next two weeks before the onslaught of chemo begins. I think it will be great to have some new friends who are going through the same thing. We can all help each other.
I’m taking my girls to Aberdovey tomorrow. Hope the weather is kind to us.
Thank you Rhian for organising us all.
See you soon everyone
Love Rachel x
hi All
If i’m well? I’m happy to drive anywhere, Nantwich seems very Northerly for you Rhian, and Rachel but i’ll go with the flow.I can’t do 9th May i have an appointment with the Onc.
Jeanete I use park and ride at Sainsburys Boughton thats my nearest, but i can’t be far from you.
Sue hope your feeling a bit better will PM you when i get a minute.
Hi
I’m excited about meeting you all. I can do any day except 4th and 5th, as those are my appointment days.
Shrewsbury’s great as long as that’s ok for everyone.
Thank you so much for this thread-it’s a real life line.
Lots of love

hi there I’ve got bone scan on 4th May, heart echo on the 6th may and 2nd FEC on 9th ??? I will if circumstances & SE’s permit, travel wherever I believe the train ride from here to shrewsbury very nice. XXXXXXXXX
Please make it after 16th :)That way I’ll be back from Italy-I’d love to come. The Camellia Tea Room is lovely-spacious and quiet with excellent service and lovely food for light lunch or even better a very classy afternoon tea for £10-better than the Ritz in London which was twice the price. If we want to be out of town I know lots of nice pubs-I have been to the Mytton and Mermaid with a group from here and the Inn at Grinshill is nice too.the thing with Shrewsbury is people can always come by train if they dont want to drive.
you guys work it out and I’ll fall in all things being ok on the day, afternoon tea sounds good Val, maybe a bit late in the day for some folks??? anything fine by me, Terri such a kind offer, I will see how it goes I do have access to my own car but it all depends on how we are feeling at the time and of course where we end up meeting, thanks we’ll look forward to it and see what’s what nearer the time. XXXXXXXXXX

Hi
Anywhere Shrewsbury area and any time is fine as long as I’m up to driving (fingers crossed) Otherwise I can always get train from Mum’s in Shifnal where I’m going to stay if things get too tough.
Val, I’m so envious. I love Italy and spent a lovely hol by Lake Garda and Verona last summer. Hope you have a fab time. Whereabouts are you going? Will definitely bring you some bangers when we all meet up.
I’ve been to Aberdovey today. Had a lovely day on the beach with my girls.
Hello everyone, glad to see our group is going, so glad I started if off, I wish we werent going through this but I am glad we all are here for each other. Im quite central to everyone, Shrewsbury good for me to meet, as is Nantwich, thats just about 8 miles of so from me. I am happy for group meet ups or any single meetings if anyone ever at a loose end fancies a brew, or a proper drink ha ha, spur of the moment! Did someone mention Carden Park, had afternoon tea there last Friday for my birthday! very civilised i must say!
Had my Oncologist appt today, pre chemo for FEC3, all is well, tho he said he wont reduce my dose cos he thinks i can take it and said i was glowing and that looked good re eyebrow and nails still intact!!! oh well worth a try huh!!!
Lots of love to u all, feels so nice to know we are all here for each other, def good to have somethin positive out if all this, as well as the weather of course, hope your trip away good Rhian, Aber… cant remember the spelling, chemo brain i know!

WELL DONE!!! after FEC 1 Mon, nausea seems to be wearing off but man I am soooo tired, not like me at all!!! Still kids are making me keep moving…don’t you just love school holidays …and isn’t it graet to have nice weather, OH reminded me we have had this nice easter thing last couple of tears and that’s been it!!! I say it will be a GLORIOUS summer coz I may not be on top enough to enjoy it all!!! anyway must go as I can hear the little monkeys up to mischeif??? XXXXXXXXX
Hi Jeanette
Sounds as if your kids are keeping you busy. Mine are older and always seem to be plugged into something electrical. I love school hols (I’m a teacher!!!) and I don’t feel guilty being off work when I would normally be at home anyway. But when I’m off in term time as I will be I really don’t like being at home. Guess I’ll get used to it. Well done for getting through first FEC. Mine won’t be long now! You’ll get more peace when the kids go back to school.
Enjoy our brief glimpse of Summer!
Lots of love
Rachel xx
