Hi everyone, sorry to bother you but I am rather worried. I was diagnosed with BC on 3rd March this year. I had a mastectomy followed by chemo which I have just finished. A month ago I found several lumps in my other breast which my surgeon thinks are cysts but has booked me a more high definition scan to get a better look. My question is, has anyone ever had cancer come back in the other one while on chemo. Sorry to go on at this late hour.

Hi Sue,
I was having chemo before my WLE and had had about 4 or 5 and had a sizing ultrasound scan which found a lump in same breast as my tumour it was def new as I had regular ultra sounds during chemo and had not been there before, I was so worried and stressed, how can anything new grow when I was having cemo etc and I had a fna and it was not a cyst , so I had a biopsy done it turned out to be a fast growing fibroadenoma a benign breast lump. It was removed at same time as tumour and confirmed at pathology not cancerous. It was a worry though,
Hope yours are cysts or fibroadenomas like mine
Take care
